Welcome to the GLCC Fun Run Rally!
Here are the highlights:
July 13th at 10:00 am start time. July 14th is the rain date.
Starting and ending location is High Octane Cafe (7192 Highland Rd, Waterford Twp, MI 48327)
This is a timed rally…not a race.
The rally route (which is a secret) will be about 2.5 hours.
There will be 3 stops with plans for restroom breaks.
We will benchmark normal drive times for each leg of the rally.
Routes will be provided at the beginning of a leg.
Please use GPS and it is best if you have a co-pilot. Also please check to confirm your mobile phone has a stop watch as we want to record minutes and seconds for each route.
Each participant will log their start/stop times for each leg.
We will provide log document, pen and clip board.
Prizes will be awarded for closest times for each leg and overall closest time at our dinner.
We will have an early dinner following the rally at Highland House (just a few minutes from our end point). The cost will be about $38. Details on the menu to follow.
There will be a $10 per car fee to cover expense.
This is our first attempt to plan and execute a road rally.
In preparation we benchmarked several active rally organizations to learn best practices.
For our first rally we are keeping it simple.
And with your input we will incorporate improvements for 2025 and beyond.
