Dear Kassie,
A key mission of the Great Lakes Cobra Club (GLCC) is to make an impact on our community. We accomplish this mission in several ways. As a car club the basics include helping each other, building friendships, enriching our members lives through the activities we plan. But we can do more. A few years ago, we set forth to help “youth” get involved on the classic car hobby. And more recently the GLCC Board made the bolder commitment to help those who cannot help themselves…those in dire need.
This is where you and Holy Cross Children’s Services came into focus back in 2018.
Arising from the generosity of our GLCC family at the Snake Pit at the Woodward Dream Cruise (our “big” event of the season) we donated to Holy Cross Children Services in 2018 and 2019.
2020 was a challenging year for everyone and we did not hold our Snake Pit event and due to this we were unable to help your children.
But we came back strong in 2021! On Saturday August 21 we hosted the Snake Pit for about 120 GLCC Club Members and nearly 70 classic cars.
But more important to the fun had by all (https://tinyurl.com/snakepitdreamcruise) was the generosity of our members in rallying to raise $1,000 for Holy Cross Children’s Services (check enclosed)
We sincerely hope this helps your community.
All the best,
Your Friends from the Great Lakes Cobra Club
